Loop Requirements
Loopique Guide
What Loopique Users Are Looking For
Music producers come to Loopique searching for two things:
- Specific recordings they can't create themselves - unique vocals, live instruments, synth layers or specialized sounds
- Creative inspiration - fresh ideas to start or complete their projects
Your loops fill gaps in their production toolkit. Focus on what producers can't easily make or find elsewhere.
Quality Always Beats Quantity
One exceptional loop is worth more than five average ones.
Upload loops you're proud of. Each submission represents your brand and skill. A single standout vocal recording can sell faster than a bundle of generic drum loops.
That said, "exceptional" doesn't always mean complex. Sometimes a producer needs exactly one thing:
- A clean guitar riff to build around
- A single vocal phrase with character
- A punchy bass line with the right groove
- One perfectly recorded violin melody
- A synth lead with character
Don't overthink it. If your loop serves a clear purpose, it has value.
The Power of Original Vocals
Vocals and vocal-containing loops are consistently the most searched for content on Loopique.
Why? Producers can generate drum patterns, synthesize bass lines, and create melodies with software. But authentic human voice? That requires a real vocalist.
Upload these vocal types:
- Vocal phrases and hooks - short, catchy sung parts
- Vocal chops - processed vocal pieces for electronic music
- Acapellas - full vocal performances
- Harmonies and layers - stacked vocal parts
- Ad-libs and one-shots - "hey," "yeah," vocal effects
- Spoken word - rap verses, vocal samples, phrases
Your voice is unique. Even simple vocal recordings have value if they're well-performed and recorded.
Upload What Can't Be Replicated
Ask yourself: "Can a producer make this with a VST plugin or AI tool?"
If yes, your loop faces tough competition. If no, you have something valuable.
High-value content producers can't easily replicate:
- Live instrument recordings (guitar, violin, saxophone, flute, etc.)
- Unique vocal performances with character and emotion
- Field recordings and real-world sounds
- Vintage or rare equipment recordings
- Authentic ethnic instruments
- Live drum performances with human feel
- Real string sections or orchestral instruments
Lower-value content that's easily replicated:
- Basic MIDI piano patterns (any producer can program these)
- Simple synth leads using common presets
- Generic drum loops from standard sample packs
- Sounds that sound like they came from free VST plugins
Finding Your Niche
Specialize in what you do best. Don't try to be everything to everyone.
Strong specializations that sell well:
- Vocalist specializing in R&B/Soul - upload different vocal performances in your style
- EDM guitarist - record various jazz guitar licks and progressions
- Real instrument player - share authentic traditional instrument recordings
- Session drummer - provide live drum grooves across different tempos
- Sound designer - create unique textures and atmospheres
Producers return to creators who consistently deliver quality in specific areas.
Recording and Production Tips
Clean recordings sell better than "creative" but flawed ones.
Before uploading:
- Remove all background noise - hums, hisses, room noise
- Check for clipping - no distortion unless intentional
- Match your levels - stems should balance well together
- Trim silence properly - start and end exactly where audio begins/ends
- Test the loop - does it actually loop seamlessly?
- Include useful stems - separate vocals, instruments, drums, bass at minimum
For vocals specifically:
- Record in a treated space (or use a closet with clothes for dampening)
- Use a pop filter to avoid plosives (harsh "p" and "b" sounds)
- Keep consistent mic distance for even tone
- Provide both wet (with reverb/effects) and dry versions when possible
Pricing Your Loops Strategically
Your desired price (the amount you'll receive) determines your loop's final credit price.
Consider these factors when pricing:
- Complexity and production time - a full vocal acapella is worth more than a one-shot
- Uniqueness - rare recordings command higher prices
- Usability - versatile loops that fit many genres can justify higher prices
- Your skill level - professional recordings deserve professional pricing
Typical pricing ranges:
- Simple one-shots or short phrases: €10-30
- Full loops with stems: €30-150
- Complete vocal performances: €150-500+
- Complex multi-stem arrangements: €150-500+
Don't underprice professional work. Remember: each loop sells only once. Price for the exclusive value you're providing.
Metadata Matters
Good descriptions help producers find and buy your loops.
When writing your loop description:
- Be specific about what's included - "Female vocal hook in E minor, 120 BPM, with harmonies"
- List the stems clearly - "Includes: lead vocal (dry), lead vocal (wet), harmony 1, harmony 2"
- Mention the vibe or use case - "Perfect for melodic house, deep house, or chill electronic"
- State if anything is NOT included - "Does not include instrumental or backing track"
Choose accurate tags:
- Select genres that genuinely fit your loop
- Tag all instruments present in the recording
- Include mood descriptors (melancholic, energetic, dark, uplifting)
- Don't spam irrelevant tags hoping for more visibility
What to Avoid
These will get your loops rejected:
❌ Main elements from sample packs - don't upload loops where the primary melody or vocal comes from commercial sample packs
❌ Low-quality recordings - excessive noise, distortion, or amateur production
❌ Unoriginal content - copying existing songs or obvious imitations
❌ Previously published work - loops you've already sold or released elsewhere
❌ Fully AI-generated content - Loopique is for human-created content only
❌ Copyrighted samples - using unauthorized samples from commercial recordings
❌ Misleading metadata - tagging a techno loop as "pop" to get more views
Start Simple, Build Your Catalog
You don't need 100 loops to start. Upload your your best pieces first.
This approach helps you:
- Learn what sells on the platform
- Get feedback from early purchases
- Understand what producers want
- Refine your process before creating more
Many successful Loopique creators started with just 5-10 high-quality uploads and grew from there.
Key reminder: Upload what producers need but can't easily make themselves. Your unique recordings are worth more than generic sounds.
